Story: Gail attended her fifth reaping now not only worried about herself but also her younger cousin, Sierra and her little brother, Michael (Mike), both of whom were in their first year of reaping (12 yrs old). The girl's name was drawn, and it read: Sierra Burn. Horrified, Gail reacted without thinking and volunteered as tribute instead of her cousin. Once the boy's name was read, though, Gail was horrified. Michael's name was drawn, and for the first time in her district's history, a brother and sister were competing in the Hunger Games.
Combat: Gail is very skilled with knives and staffs, and also rope. During her session with the Game Makers, Gail constructed a huge net that stretched across the room and walked across it, throwing knives at targets.
Weakness: Gail is light on her feet, which makes her not very good in hand-to-hand combat unless she has a weapon. Gail is also burdend with the responsibility of caring for her younger brother in the arena, which makes it harder for her to run.
