Personality: Terra likes to win, but she is not a sore winner and when she loses she isn`t a sore looser. She doesn`r let people in and can pretty harsh. Terra also has a very short temper and has a hard time controlling it. She can be stubborn, but knows when she is beaten. Terra is very gaurded about her emotions and hasn`t cried since her brother Roster died. Terra is a prankster, but rarley be pinned to the prank. She has also dated many boys from district and has dumped all of them.
History: Terra`s birthmother was Patricia Revan, the daughter of the Gamemaker Ronald Revan. When Patricia found out she was pregnant, she was sixteen and her boyfriend wanted nothing to do with the baby. When Patricia`s father found out he was naturally furious and started saying how bad Patricia being pregnant would be for his public image. Ronald wanted Patricia to have the baby killled at birth; Patricia refused, but promised to give the baby up for adoption in one of the Districts.
Nine months later Terra was born and shipped off to District [11,4,2] and put up for adoption. Almost immediately after her arrival in the District, Terra was adopted by Thalia and Jackson Ramus. The Ramus` s had already adopted two children, six year old Roster and four year old Jasmine.
Thalia and Jackson had a hard time naming little Terra and for her first few weeks in the Ramus household she was known as The Baby. Finally they decided to name her Terra, because Terra means earth and her favorite play spot was on a blanket on the ground.
When Terra was ten years old her brother, Roster, who was sixteen was picked to be a tribute in the Hunger Games. The weeks Roster was in Game were absolute terror for his family. Little Terra was especially terrified as she adored her big brother who looked out for her and made sure the kids at school didn`t pick on her. He was her favorite out of her two siblings and when she was scarred or sad he was the one she went to him.
Roster won the Games and the Ramus family was elated. They threw a party, but during the celebration a message arrived saying that Roster had been too badly injured and he hadn`t survived surgery. The message also said that the District would receive the usual treatment they would normally if they`re tribute, even though Roster hadn`t lived long enough to come home.
The Ramus family was plunged into a deep sadness. Each of the member of the family was differently effected, Terra`s mom Thalia refused to leave her room and sat in complete darkness through the day, her dad, Jackson, pulled himself away emotionally from everyone, Terra`s older sister Jasmine put on a brave face and held the family together. Terra cried herself to sleep for months after Roster died, but she tried not to be sad all the time, because she knew that wasn`t what Roster would have wanted.
When Terra was fourteen, her sister Jasmine got married to the Mayor. This was just what the family needed to pull themselves out of their sadness. Jasmine`s wedding was spectacular and for the first time since her son had died, Terra`s mom came out of her room. Now that Terra was fourteen she left school to help her dad and mom run their clothing store. After Terra started working in the store she was allowed to make her own clothes, so Terra was easy to spot in a crowd, because of her unique clothes.
When Terra turned fifteen she found pout about tribute training. She took a few classes and found out she was brilliant at throwing knives. Terra could hit a quickly moving target or a distant target. She grew farther and farther away from her parents and by her sixteenth birthday she barley said anything to them.
